Born 1940
This early piece I made in 1964
it reveals intentions which I still hold:
to be open and to open up to others

This is a challenge to me as an artist and teacher
but also an invite to you as reader and maker.
Everybody is an artist in their own way
and we are exciting as we are different.
after film school in 1974 i co-created Four Corner Films.
We worked in a group f four, representing the community
around us and gave the people we filmed an equal chance to cooperate. I benefitted and learned from that.
I like the idea of an open studio an you as a visitor should
also participate. Take one of my many ‘ONs’ in this website
might lead to ideas that could develop into actual co-operative productions.
From REFLECTION to ACTION is my guide line.
I would like to run workshops with around four people of all ages and skills in my studio or, if invited, in other spaces…
It could be more than a day but here is an example.
I would divide the time into:
1) 09.00 – 10.30 Listening to each other
2) 11.00 – 12.30 Planning
3) 14.00 – 15.30 Finding skills and roles
4) 16.00 – 17.30 Working on a joint product within the available time
5) 17.30 – l8.00 Allowing responses
THE PROCESS counts. That is THE ART here.
